In our testing we found that for rinters using 510/511, 512/513 and 640/641 cartridges you can replace the pop carts 8 to 12 times before you should need to replace the genuine cartridge shell. Printers using 645/646 cartridges do not have an internal printer head pump/cleaner. In these particular printers you can use the insert between 3-5 times before replacing the genuine cartridge shell. You can obvioucly replace the pPop Carts more times than this but the print quality may drop due to wear of the thermal heads. Do I need to use brand a new genuine cartridge? No you do not need a new genuine cartridge, however the cartridge needs to be in good working order. To check the usability of the cartridge you have, please perform a nozzle check pattern before installing the Pop Carts. Can I refill the Pop Carts with my own ink? No. The sponges in the Pop Carts will break down and cause permanent blockages to the OEM cartridge heads. Where can I find more information?
