Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique jewelry box. Rare form on this French carved wood jewelry box. C. 1920s. Usually you find this type of jewelry box in a rectangular form. This 6 sided example is rare. Features carved wood that has its original gold paint. On the lid is a French print under glass. Inside the hinged lid is the original mirror. Inside the box the bottom also has its original glass. Very good antique condition for age. No major damage or repairs. The original gold paint is in good shape with only very minor wear. Print is very good. Mirror is original and in very good condition. Glass bottom is original and in good condition. Hinges are in working order. Beautiful rare 6 sided example. Measures about 10 3/16″ point to point on bottom. Or about 9 1/16″ bottom flat side to flat side. About 3 1/16″ tall. Selling as pictured( jewel box only).
