LUCKY LAGER BREWING LUCKY LAGER 11OZ. FLAT TOP STEEL BEER CAN. EMPTY. Originally made by General Brewing in California. 1934. They expanded to Azusa and opened a second brewery in 1949. Later opening in Vancouver in 1950 and Salt Lake City in 1960. Selling 2 million barrels a year in 1962. Changing the name back to General Brewing from 1963-1969. Then going with Lucky Breweries Inc. after that. The Salt Lake City location closed first in 1967, then Azusa in 1971 followed by San Francisco in 1978 leaving Vancouver and Rhode Island. They came out with a generic ‘BEER’ in cans for a while in the late 1970’s but it was just Lucky inside. Vancouver shut down in 1985 and Olympia brewed the Lucky Beer label until 2003 when they closed. Pabst now owns the label. *CAN DESCRIPTION. This is a 1959 beer can made of American rolled steel. Brewed in Azusa. 11oz. Can shows fine but has small spots of rust and a few fine surface scratches. Dented a little bit by the seam as seen. Top opened. Empty. Good color retained. Displays well. It will come with a free clear wrap taped on the can and shipped well protected. Message me for any special requests. Can has been turned and rotated so that all sides are pictured.
