Manny’s Vintage Mintage presentsThe Corgi Batmobile edition for sale here is HALF A CENTURY OLD.It is the version Corgi manufactured in 1973 – read the followingFIRST VERSION 1966-1969 came in a non-window box with an inner display plinth, and had three variations in the first 3 years:variation A was matte [non-reflecting] black paintvariation B was glossy black, and stayed so forever aftervariation C added a permanent tow hook to the rear exhaust, for the BatBoat introduced in 1967SECOND VERSION 1970-1972 came in a window box, and no longer had red Bat-symbols on the hubcaps,Future versions would not have them either(even though box blurbs continued to mention it)variation A and B boxes differed slightlyvariation C had the rare RED Rubber tiresTHIRD VERSION 1973-1975 used WHIZZWHEELS (Corgi’s competing product to Mattel’s Hot Wheels) on their MANY 3rd Version variations – although the Batmobile boxes made no mention of it -and because of the use of Whizzwheels,the pulsating Flame Exhaust no longer pulsated, even though the boxes and instructions still mentioned it being present! THE VERSION FOR SALE HERE is considered THIRD VERSION & Third Version B TYPE box and the for sale is distinguished by the following specifics light violet canopy [SUPER RARE] 8 spoke/notched tires IT HAS A 99.9% PERFECT PAINT JOB WITH NO SCRATCHES OR SPOT CHIPPING !!! It obviously was NEVER played with! ALL THREE MISSILE TUBES WORK/FIRE !!! CHAIN BREAKER WORKS WHEN BUTTON IS PUSHED, AND LOCKS INTO PLACE UNAIDED !!! BOTH BATMAN & ROBIN FIGURES ARE PRESENT !!!
